Jennifer
APRN, PMHNP
Jennifer (Juniper) (she/they) APRN, PMHNP is a person with a deep sense of service, adventure, and humor. A long time Alaska resident, Juniper brings a unique approach to supporting care. With extensive career experience spanning from the Emergency Department, flight nursing, OB, pediatrics, and mental health: fostering and cultivating whole person connectedness is paramount for supporting healing and change.
Curiosity about trauma responses in the body prompted Juniper to set off on a journey of discovery. She obtained her Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP) in 2023 through University of Alaska Anchorage. She completed individual ketamine assisted psychotherapy(KAP) training through PRATI and group training through Katya Calhoun. She received a certificate in Psychedelics Today’s year long VITAL training program for psychedelic assisted therapy (PAT). She has completed Brainspotting level 1 training, and CBT for gender affirming care. Her approach and ethos come through a trauma informed lens of meeting people where they are with encouragement, humor, and decolonized language. She draws inspiration from the work of Martha Rogers grand theory-The Science of Unitary Beings, and Linda Thai, trauma therapist and educator.
When not engaged in patient centered care, or contemplating altered states of consciousness for planetary healing, juniper can be found creating ASMR and yoga nidra recordings while wandering around in the woods forest bathing with her Cardigan Welsh Corgi Omar. She also likes to organize dance events for her community, volunteer for various organizations, and provide space for Sunday community saunas.
Her mantra or quote is: courage through connection
